The Department of Mechanical Engineering was established in the year 2009 and provided with state art laboratory facilities and hands on training to the students both in conventional subjects and also in the engineering fields of specialization. The Department has an excellent infrastructure and well experienced faculty members who dedicated to produce high caliber techno crafts.

Torque2k16, The annual Technical fest of Selvam college of Technology, invites students from all around the nation to put their ingenuity and aptitude to test at an unparallel level of competition. This Yearof Torque2k16, to be held on February 27, 2016, is all set to epitomize itself as the ultimate platform for budding engineers of various stream. Event on whole is designed as competitive treat for budding engineers, Embodying the undying spirit of an engineer, our benchmark events Moto Drifting and Lathemaster this time, is going to be more stunning.
